Master of 教育 in 课程 & 教学

The Master of 教育 Program in 课程 and 教学 reflects teaching and learning in the 21st Century and is designed to enhance curricular innovation and teaching practices necessary for master teachers. 课程, 实地体验, and a final project or thesis are designed to develop and extend abilities to facilitate learning for students.  The required twelve credit hours of electives offers choice in selecting a certificate or endorsement program from a menu of contemporary offerings or designing one’s own curricular focus.  This choice equips candidates with research and skills applicable to today’s classrooms. Practicing teachers may choose to take classes part-time as a part of our online program. This program requires approximately two years of coursework to obtain an M.Ed in 课程 and 教学. 

On-Campus (Face to Face) Cohort

On Campus students typically take classes on a full-time basis. The program requires one to two years of coursework to obtain an M.Ed in 课程 in 教学. On-Campus students are eligible for graduate assistantships within the program. For more information on graduate assistantships, please click (here).

Upon completion of the graduate degree, students in 课程 and 教学 are expected to be able to:

  • Assess and support multiple perspectives regarding issues and trends in curriculum and instruction. 
  • Compile related research and adapt best practices in the classroom.
  • Perform teaching that integrates theory with practice in the classroom.
  • Adapt and initiate current technology in the classroom. 

Accreditation and/or Program/Cluster Review

Bowling Green State University [BGSU] is accredited by the 高等教育委员会.  BGSU has been accredited by the 高等教育委员会 since 01/01/1916. 最近的 reaffirmation of accreditation was received in 2012 - 2013. Questions should be directed to the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.

The 课程 and 教学 program is accredited by Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and is in good standing.


Professional Licensure (If applicable)

Bowling Green State University programs leading to licensure, certification and/or endorsement, 是否在线交付, face-to-face or in a blended format, satisfy the academic requirements for those credentials set forth by the State of Ohio.
