The 医疗保健管理局 specialization prepares students to work in management and administration in hospitals, clinics and other organizations that provide health care services. As part of BGSU’s Applied 健康 科学 degree program, 医疗保健管理局’s diversified curriculum imparts a basic understanding of human diseases, 衰老与健康, while also providing a comprehensive overview of the health care delivery system. This is accomplished while applying fundamental administrative and business skills to solve problems, 评估结果, and assess quality and performance in health care settings.

学生 are enrolled 在 Applied 健康 科学 degree program 在 College of 健康 and 人类服务. This degree program requires a diverse range of courses in science, 公共卫生, 人的成长与发展, 和健康.

In addition to Applied 健康 科学 core courses, students complete a minor in general business. The minor ensures that graduates will have the foundation of business knowledge required for administrative positions and will be prepared for future business studies.

BGSU’s College of 健康 and 人类服务 was the first collegiate unit in Northwest Ohio devoted exclusively to academic programs in health and human services.

医疗保健管理局 students are required to complete an internship that provides practical experience. The internship must be approved by the program advisor, and is designed to be completed during the summer between junior and senior years.
